My Bio
Nature and landscape images speak to our hearts and call each one of us to a homecoming; powerful images call to us and remind us of our common heritage in the origin of peoples and like an innate elemental circuitry they trigger the embedded memories which energize our being, excite our creativity and illuminate our lives. Photography found me at a very young age, followed me home and hasn't gotten tired of me yet. I continue to advocate for nature from the State of Maine.

SONY NEX 5N

0 min read
The most fun I've had with a camera, the Sony NEX 5N is easy to carry and can adapt to many different on-the-fly shooting demands. Here are a few of the latest outdoor and indoor images, and soon I will post some of the HDR results. Thank you for viewing!

Yep, sorry I was far too gone for far too long, but that is what can happen when you start a new job and things get interesting. I am happy as can be to see Deviantart is still going strong. I didn't know what to expect, other photo sites just disappear if you don't hang around all the time. Anyway, I'm glad to see you are reading this and fighting the good fight, keeping the world safe for us creative folks! I have heard plenty about the EXIF ripoff exposed by John http://kkart.deviantart.com/journal/34420940/# where they make income for hits to your Deviantart photo artwork and don't tell you about it (remember the Matrix, I feel just like

“Got your plow on?” That’s the question that’s heard as folks talk in the aisles of Hannaford’s, or down at the post office or walking through Mardens. As the winter wonderland gets underway it seems like every vehicle on the road has a plow. I start thinking how I would love to get one too, but they are expensive… maybe, I say out loud, I could take yellow paint to a piece of marine grade plywood and put it on the front of my old Subaru. My son in law hears this and says, “Wouldn’t that pretty much make you a red neck?” Whatever the weather, it pays to have a plan and a backup plan; I always remi

I signed up on Deviant Art to let people know why Bob has not been on for quite a while.  Sadly, Bob died on December 27, 2012 from a cardiac arrest after shoveling snow.  He was the love of my life for 20 plus years.  The good news is that his spirit still lives on (FOR REAL!) and his beautiful vision lives on in this site.  I hope the tangible evidence of his eye, his soul, and his appreciation of this world remains on Deviant Art for a long time.  Thanks to all who have appreciated his art, his poetry, his journals, and  his humorous and thoughtful comments.
